Employment

VolunTeens

volunteen-1

VolunTeens do a variety of tasks for different areas of the library. Teens may work in Technical Services, Reference, or Youth Services. The Teen Librarian tracks all hours for high school volunteer requirements, college resumes, etc.

Teens may volunteer one hour per week and must keep a regular schedule of attendance.

The library’s VolunTeen program is for teens in the 7th through 12th grades.  Those who wish to volunteer at the library are required to attend an orientation meeting prior to volunteering. At this orientation, teens will find out more about what is required of them as volunteers.

Please call the Youth Services Desk at (423)-434-4458 to find out more about the VolunTeen program or to register for an orientation.  Registration is required.
