JCPL is a member of OWL, the Organization of Watauga Libraries. All public libraries in Carter, Greene, Johnson, Sullivan, Unicoi, and Washington counties share a common computerized catalog system. With this system, patrons can find and request books from any OWL library.

Spring and Fall Book Sales

The Friends of the Johnson City Public Library hold a spring and a fall book sale. These sales are open to the general public and held in the Jones Meeting room of the library on a Saturday. Proceeds from the sales benefit programs and services offered at the Johnson City Public Library.

DSC01667We hold a preview sale for Friends members the Friday evening before our Saturday sale. Just show your Friends membership card to get in the book preview sale or if you forget your card, we will have a list of Friends available at the sale. If you are not a Friend, you can join at the preview sale.
