Library Clerk I Openings
Johnson City Public Library Youth Services Department has two (2) part-time openings for a Library Clerk I. The main function of each position includes assisting children and young adults in finding the books and other library materials they want and need through use of our online catalog, registering children for special programs and assisting with internet use. Included but not limited to this position will be doing preliminary searches in journals, checking out books for librarians, assisting with departmental decorations and other duties as assigned.
We are looking for someone who enjoys educating and encouraging children and wants to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to excellent service.
This is an hourly position with no fringe benefits. Starting pay in this classification is $9.65 per hour. The typical schedule will be 18 hours per week. Evening and weekend work is required.
