Reference Assistance
Staff members at the Youth Services desk are always ready and willing to help you locate an item to get started on an assignment. For big research projects, teens may find more assistance upstairs. Reference staff on the second floor are available during library hours to answer reference questions and help patrons find the materials they need. You may contact them in person, by phone (434-4458), or via E-mail (phoneroom@jcpl.net).
Readers' Advisory
Librarians want to help you find a good book to read. Booklists for different ages and subject matter are also available to help guide you to the book of your choice. Young Adult (Y) fiction is located on the first floor. Y books are for readers between the ages of 12 and 18.
Computers
In Youth Services there are four computers with Internet access specifically for patrons who are 13-18 years old. The computers on the second level are for patrons 13 years and older. Use your library card to sign in to the computer for one hour a day. A printer is available for use. Black and white printouts are 10¢ each and color printouts are 50¢ each.
Library Tours
Classes and formal organizations are welcome to visit the library for a tour. Please make requests for visits at least two weeks in advance. You may call 434-4458 to request a tour.
