Library Wireless Internet
To Be Down for Maintenance

The wireless Internet service (also known as Wi-Fi) at the Johnson City Public Library will be down for maintenance on Wednesday, August 4, 2010. For the duration of the day, patrons will not be able to use the wireless network to access the Internet from their laptops, notebooks, netbooks, and other Wi-Fi enabled devices. Normal wireless Internet service will resume on Thursday, August 5.

Food for Fines Event
In celebration of 115 years of service to the community, the Johnson City Public Library will hold a Food for Fines exchange program in coordination with the Second Harvest Food Bank’s “Christmas in July” campaign.

R.E.A.D.S.
The Regional Ebook and Audiobook Download System allows our patrons to download digital versions of print books and digital audio books to their home computers and certain portable audio players.  (R.E.A.D.S Online Help)

Online Resources (Databases)
Library patrons may access the resources of the EBSCO Auto Repair Reference Center, CQ Researcher, Heritage Quest, the Tennessee Electronic Library, and World Book Online either in the library or from your home computer.

Friendly Visitor Program
The library’s Friendly Visitor Program is designed to bring library services to citizens of Johnson City who cannot reach the library due to a disability.

Local Clubs and Organizations
This directory contains organizations, clubs, support groups and services for Johnson City and the surrounding area.

TumbleBooks
TumbleBook Library is an online collection of TumbleBooks, which are animated, talking picture books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they'll love.

Call our Dial-a-Story line at 423-928-1159! Each week we will have a new story for your children to hear! (Sponsored by the Friends of the Library)

The library has meeting facilities for groups small and large, organizations both non-profit and commercial, with competitive rates.

Wireless (and Wired) Laptop Access 
The library offers both Wi-Fi and Ethernet network connections for laptop bearing patrons.
