Science in (Cyber)Space: Learn Science Using the Tennessee Electronic Library (TEL)

July 23 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Everyone needs to do science research at some point, either for school, work, or personal life. The Tennessee Electronic Library (TEL) is a free resource that provides reliable information on a wide range of topics for all ages. Elementary through high school and college students can find background information for science homework or science fair projects. Adults can do medical research on health conditions, or learn more about the science behind political issues such as climate change.

On Wednesday, July 23rd from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Computer Center, the JCPL is offering a class that will introduce science research in TEL. Class attendees will walk through the steps of doing science research at different levels. There will be an opportunity at the end for questions and answers, so feel free to come with a science question that we can research together. This class is part of the Adult Summer Reading Program. It is free and open to adults and parents with their school-aged children.
