Addiction: Finding and Giving Help

January 30 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Have you or someone you love made a New Year’s resolution to get on the path to recovery from an addiction to alcohol or drugs? Jason Abernathy, a representative from Insight Alliance, will give a powerful talk about addiction and recovery at the JCPL first floor Reading Room* on Thursday, January 30th at 6:00 p.m. The program, titled “Addiction: Finding and Giving Help,” will address what addiction is and who it affects, and how it compares to and is impacted by society’s stigmas and stereotypes.  Mr. Abernathy will also discuss resources available to help anyone who is recovering from an addiction. For more information about Insight Alliance, a substance abuse prevention group in Washington County, visit their website at www.wcadc.com. There is hope in recovery.

*Note that the location of this program has changed. Free refreshments will be provided by the Johnson City Public Library for those who attend this event.
