Children Materials

puzzle-girlYouth Services has a diverse and deep collection of materials that provide educational and entertaining resources for children and teens.

Books and Media

In addition to fiction and nonfiction books, the Youth Services collection includes music, books on cassette/CD, read-along kits, fiction and nonfiction DVDs for children, and magazines. Our collection includes both Caldecott and Newbery award books. Behind the Storytime Theater, we have a study area with many reference books for elementary and junior high students.

Activities

We have six computers available for children under 12 that include educational software and games as well as Microsoft Office and filtered Internet access. Five additional computers are available for parents and caregiversĀ that have children with themĀ in the Youth Services area.

Children can also enjoy play times with puzzles, games, puppets, and building block toys.
